Eyelash Extensions

What are eyelash extensions? Eyelash extensions are synthetic silk strands of hair individually attached to your natural eyelash using a special bonding agent. The extensions are individually applied approximately 1mm away from your skin and never come in contact with it.

Pink Blush Bar initial consultation with an Eyelash Specialist will allow you to customize your lashes before the service. Together we discuss your expectations and determine the type of lashes that are suited best for you and your lifestyle. The lashes are already curved and come in many different lengths and curves. The procedure is very relaxing. A professionally trained certified Pink Blush Eyelash Technician will work every set of lashes to perfection. The result is truly amazing and Pink Blush Bar guarantees you will love your new lashes!

THE SETS & CURLS

Every set is customized to each client’s number of natural eyelashes and shape. The set that is chosen during the consultation with an Eyelash Specialist depends on how many natural eyelashes you have. You will always have the option to upgrade to a fuller set if the Eyelash Technician determines so at the time of your service. The curl that is chosen depends on the shape of your eye and the look you want to achieve.

FACTS

-This procedure is no more damaging than applying mascara.

-Each procedure takes anywhere from 40 minutes for a fill and 1.5 to 2 hours for a new set.

-The synthetic lashes are applied to your natural eyelashes lash by lash with an odorless special bonding agent about 1mm from the root of each lash. Neither the glue nor the synthetic lash will ever come in contact with your skin.

-On the average, depending upon how you care for them, lash extensions could last 4-6 weeks.

-Natural eyelash cycle is 30-60 days. When one lash falls out there is another lash growing in. Therefore, we recommend coming in for a fill every three weeks to maintain fullness. A lot of our clients come in bi-weekly, much like getting a manicure. We carry non-prescription products to enhance and keep your natural lashes healthy.

DON'TS BEFORE YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

-Remove all eye make up and clean your lashes with a mild, oil-free cleanser. Do NOT use oil-based make up removers since oil based products will affect the adhesion and cause the lashes to fall out prematurely.

-Do NOT put on mascara or curl your lashes.

-Contact lenses must be removed prior to procedure.

-We suggest listening to the music of your choice during your service. This is a relaxing, sleep inducing beauty treatment. Talking should be as little as possible as this procedure requires optimum precision. Relaxed facial muscles ensure maximum results at minimal time.

-Although this procedure is no more damaging than applying mascara, we urge you to check with your doctor first for allergies, especially if you have a history of eye disease.

DON'TS AFTER YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

-Initial 48 hours after – avoid getting lashes wet including steam, saunas, swimming, and showers. Also avoid extreme heat and suntan beds for the initial 48 hours following your application.

-Keep fingers off your lashes & avoid rubbing your eyes. Each time you touch them you are transferring natural oils. Do NOT attempt to pull off loose lash extensions.

-Avoid wiping eyes/face with towels. Use a patting technique to prevent lashes from being pulled out.

-Avoid sleeping with face down in pillow.

-Never use lash curlers, as they will break the bond.

-Do NOT attempt to remove your lash extensions yourself. Let them fall off by themselves or come and let us professionally remove them with a special remover.

DO’S AFTERCARE

-Should eye makeup be worn ONLY approved lash extension mascara is permissible and oil free powdered, liquid and gel eyeliners should be used. Oil based product will break down the bond and cause lashes to fall out prematurely. We sell approved mascara for your lashes.

-Gently remove eye makeup with oil-free cleansers.

-Only when needed carefully and gently brush your lashes with the pink wand that was provided to you ideally after a shower when your lashes are patted dry. The lashes are softer at that time.

FAQs

1) How are eyelash extensions applied? Do they damage my natural lashes?
Synthetic lashes are attached individually to your own lashes using a special adhesive, 1mm away from the skin. Application of extensions are no less damaging than applying mascara.

2) How long do they last?
Extensions can last up to 4-6 weeks, with proper aftercare. Since lashes fall daily, it is recommended to come every three weeks for maintenance. Most clients chose to come bi-weekly to keep lashes looking beautiful.

3) Can I use an eyelash curler and mascara?
It is not recommended to use a curler since it will damage the extensions and break the bond. Mascara will interfere with the adhesive and cause lashes to fall off prematurely. We sell approved eyelash extension mascaras for special occasions.

4) How are eyelash extensions removed?
Our technicians will use a professional remover to remove each lash. Do not pick or try to remove lashes yourself, as they will fall off naturally with the natural lash. Removing lashes on your own can cause damage.

5) Will I be charged for canceling my appointment?
There is an initial $25 fee for your consultation appointment. It is fully credited towards your eyelash set. Please honor your appointment and if you must cancel, do so at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to avoid any charges. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours will be charged the full amount. We request a credit card to keep on file for any cancellations that are made less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you choose not to provide your credit card information, we will not be able to confirm or hold your appointment.
